On January 15, 2026, an orientation day on the Fascial Distortion Model (FDM) was held at Desh Bhagat University (DBU) in Patiala, North India, for the international participants in the physiotherapy programs.
The morning began with an introductory lecture on FDM by FDM instructor Thorsten Fischer and an official commendation from the university administration, specifically by the chancellor, Dr. Zora Singh. In the afternoon, the students were shown examples from everyday practice, and individual questions were addressed.
In addition to the desire of the university administration and students to expand future collaboration regarding FDM, several international participants expressed a wish to introduce FDM to their countries of origin.
A foundation was laid on this day in line with the EFDMA’s goal of further disseminating FDM worldwide, and it is hoped that this will lead to further concrete projects.
